M'nagali was born into a smaller J tribe somewhere up in the mountains on the outskirts of Gyr Abania. Her father wasn't a particular good man, but fortunately he was deposed as nunh and driven from the tribe for most of her upbringing.She trained to work with her hands, repairing whatever equipment might have been damaged on a hunt or received in trade. Transitioning before starting the path to adulthood, she soundly put to rest any ideas that she would try to follow in her father's footsteps and fight for control of her tribe.Eventually, her father returned and reclaimed his position when he struck down the most recent leader of the tribe. Unaccepting of his daughter, he banished her from tribal lands and sent her into the wilderness.After wandering by herself for some time, she was taken in by members of the M tribe who accepted her for who she is and encouraged her to take on a new name and a new life. She very quickly fell in with their revolutionary spirit, eagerly joining their efforts with the Ala Mhigan Resistance.M'nagali found her niche in breaking into Imperial facilities, stealing whatever new Magitek toy they didn't have bolted down, and returning to the Resistance to repurpose it. As a cover, she operated a small repair shop in the Ala Mhigan Quarter, allowing her to work and acquire parts relatively in the open.After a slip up on a mission revealed her identity, she was forced to flee Gyr Abania as a refugee, escaping first to Little Ala Mhigo and later landing in Ul'dah. With too many refugees and too few opportunities, she found herself a place dancing for gil and eventually was "strongly encouraged" by her employer to begin offering other services.Stormblood SpoilersOriginally joining the Griffin's Rebellion, she backed out before the fateful attack at the wall, though she quickly found her way back into Gyr Abania. She immediately began operating with the Resistance once more, picking up in earnest as Eorzea's armies and the Scions began pushing Garlemald into conflict.Now that Ala Mhigo is free once again, she found herself rudderless, lost in a sea of self-actualization after a lifetime fighting for a singular cause.Purpose and cause was found, after some time, in the Vivid Union and the family she discovered under its roof.
Tribal Background - M'nagali is, at her core, a tribal cat - even if her tribe was focused more on the Resistance than anything else. Other M tribe Miqo'te, especially Resistance fighters, are more than welcome to already know her. Oooooor... M'nagali was born J tribe, and while she was only there until her early teens, some deep deep history might get drudged up.
For Ala Mhigo! - While by no means famous, M'nagali was not only a known (to other members) member of the Resistance but also worked out of the Ala Mhigan Quarter as a Magitek mechanic. Conversely, she made enough of an impact on Garleans occupying Gyr Abania, so they may recognize her as well.
On the Mean Sands of Ul'dah - Gali has been working on the less than glamorous side of Ul'dah for quite some time. She's spent a lot of her gil and opportunity helping other high-risk refugees get on their feet in the city, even if it's not a glamorous life. She could be recognized from the seedy club where she dances or as a resource for new refugees.
The Vivid Union - Gali has been working at the Vivid Union for some time and has built a reputation for herself. She's well known around Ul'dah as a talented, enthusiastic companion who is worth every last gil for a night.
